Promat Solutions for the Construction Industry

Promat has operated for over 50 years as a consultant, manufacturer and supplier of fire protective materials in the construction industry, providing protection against cellulosic fires for structural steel and concrete in multi-storey buildings, hospitals, airports and similar framed structures. A cellulosic fire is the common description of a fire fuelled by everyday items such as timber, carpet, furniture, etc.

Over 30 million m² of building structures have been protected.

The Promat Solution

Promat has developed, for the construction industry, a wide range of fireproofing systems that restrict the effects of cellulosic fire on building elements and whole structures. In addition, complementary systems are also available to enhance the thermal and acoustic performance of structures.

The fire resistant systems include spray or trowel applied coatings, intumescent paints and all relevant adhesives/keycoats, topcoats/sealers and reinforcement and fixings.
